ABOUT US
Thank you for stopping by. We produce world-class stand-up comedy shows at some of the most sought-after wineries in Sonoma County and the Napa Valley.. Our company launched in the Sonoma Valley to sold out audiences during the "harvest/crush" season of 2014. As you may have already noticed our niche is comedy and wine. We are comedy gone wine!
We embrace a ‘spirit of cooperation’ in which individuals and organizations live and work together for the common good. We recognize that each team member and business partner is vital to our company’s success, and that their loyalty and motivation are the means by which we will succeed. Our team understands that human imagination is our only unlimited resource.
We love our venue partners and we whole-heartedly support local businesses. Before our shows, many guests enjoy dinner at local restaurants in the valley. We love Salt & Stone Kenwood; their truffle fries and burger definitely satisfy. The Shrimp and Grits at Tips Roadside are a house favorite. We also welcome local vendors like family-owned Rainy Day Chocolate. Try a chocolate sample before the curtain goes up! In the Napa Valley, the oysters and pasta at Brasswood Bar + Kitchen hit the spot for sure and the rustic digs and meals at Goose & Gander are simply rad.
Our motto: Macerate in comedy - be a part of the laughter movement in wine country!
If you weren't sure, maceration is the winemaking process where the phenolic materials of the grape—tannins, coloring agents (anthocyanins) and flavor compounds—are leached from the grape skins, seeds and stems into the must. To macerate is to soften by soaking, and maceration is the process by which the red wine receives its red color, since raw grape juice is clear-grayish in color. In the production of white wines, maceration is either avoided or allowed only in very limited manner in the form of a short amount of skin contact with the juice prior to pressing.

FOUNDERS
Prior to launching Crushers of Comedy and The Laugh Cellar, Lisa Pidge co-owned Doce Vida Fitness Inc where she fine tuned her marketing and public relations skills. The company, featured in the September 2007 Oprah Magazine article, “Do What You Love" was also highlighted in CRAVE NYC and grateful to design private label workout gear for The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and SPINNING.com. In the late 1990's she worked at the Los Angeles based talent management company, Addis-Wechsler where she gained valuable experience in the entertainment industry. She also lived across the street from the world famous Comedy Store where she had many good times, and also met some great friends. After years of living in inspiring cities like Los Angeles, Tokyo, New York City and Seattle she returned home to Sonoma County. Lisa decided to combine her fun life adventures and public relations experience, her love of comedy and wine to produce world class comedy shows in her hometown. She truly enjoys partnering with talented comics and local businesses to create exciting comedy events for the community. Fun Fact: She is a certified Yoga instructor and her 22 years+ of yoga practice is with her everyday! Lisa is a graduate of San Francisco State University and a member of Alpha Phi International Women's Fraternity.
